The answer is Teijin's meta-aramid fiber Teijinconex, which successfully realizes both fire retardancy and comfort. With a heat-resistance of over 400℃, Teijinconex's outstanding flame-proof properties prevent the fabric from melting, holing and sticking to the skin. In addition, because of its higher tenacity in comparison to other flame-retardant materials, combining Teijinconex with Teijin's high tensile strength para-aramid fibers has resulted in a thinner fabric that realizes lighter work clothing.

Teijin is also the only private company in Japan that uses thermal mannequins to carry out PLIFF (Protect LIfe From Fire), a burn evaluation system based on international standards.
